Lithuania (Oct 2005)
Cheap, pretty, and with friendly people. Had cold and cough during my stay so not at my most energetic - nor were those my cough kept awake through the night!
UK and USA verses the Russians.

Lithuania has a large Russian population. We bumped into these Ruski in a bus station bar at 10 a.m. already well oiled. Their companion was literally legless, and had to be held up, he had to be assited (ejected) from the bar by the waitress and others falling a couple him from the bar people ejected him from the bar he fell over and cracked his head on a stone step.
Trakia - the cultural bit:
Only a 40 minute bus jouney from Vilnius and well worth the visit.
